PLAZA

“ONE HYSTERICAL NIGHT” Unique in story, rocking with laughs, “something different” in talking pictures. ‘‘One Hysterical Night,” Universal comedy, starring Reginald Denny, is now at the Plaza Theatre. “Ore Hysterical Night” emerges from the outpouring of talking pictures as the comedy film that is different, one that i>* built around an entirely new situation, and one in which the dialogue and plot twists naturally produce howls of laughter.

It is a perfect Uni versal-Denny picture inasmuch as Denny wrote the story and the dialogue, with James Craft, director of several of his recent successes, directing. Nora Lane, refreshingly charming. plays opposite Denny.

In the picture Denny finds himself, ns Napoleon, at a fancy dress ball, tv here those present believe that he Is a cuckoo, and really thinks bo is Napoleon. The merrymakers band a Gainst him, and precipitate a series of dramatic and humorous situations. It is there that he meets his Josephine, Nora Lane, who also believes that he is deranged. llow he establishes his sanity makes a spirited and entertaining story. With Denny and Miss Lane in the cast are E. J. Ratcliffe and Fritz Feld.

The Plaza’s programme also includes several talkie featurettes.

Filming on ‘'Dangerous Nan Me* Grew.” a Paramount all-talking comedy, featuring Helen Kane, was recently completed at the Long Island studios. Supporting Miss Kane are Erwin, James Hall. Frank Morgan. Robert Robinson and Louise Glosser Hale.
