RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT The Hon. G. W. Forbes has Informed Mr. M. J. Savage, M.P., that 425 unemployed men from Auckland will be put on public works as soon as possible. Mr. Forbes’s telegTam was in reply to one sent some days ago by MrSavage urging that something be done by the Government to relieve the unemployed in Auckland. Nothing was said in the telegram about adequate action being taken by the Government to deal with the whole problem of unemployment.
