THREE PRESENTATIONS

Mr. George Cox, secretary of the South Auckland Football Association, was presented with a wallet of notes at a large meeting of Association football enthusiasts at Hamilton on Saturday evening. Mr. Cox is leaving for Christchurch and for the past 10 years has been closely connected with Association football as secretary, referee and member of the South Auckland executive. Mrs. Cox was presented with a set of dishes. Mr. R. Laurie, who is retiring from the position of stationmaster at Te Awamutu after 4£ years, which completes his 40 years of service with the Railway Department, was presented with a wallet of notes at a farewell social evening on Saturday. Mrs. Laurie was presented with a pair of bronze vases and Miss Laurie with a handbag.
