FIRST PART READY IN FEW DAYS’ TIME CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM British Official Wireless Reed. 11.55 a.m. RUGBY, Sunday. The first part of the report of the Simon Commission, ou Indian Constitutional reform, which win be published on June 10, is completed and a large edition is being printed. It will be available simultaneously here and in India. A large supply will be sent to India within the next few days. The second part of the report, which set out the Commission's recommendations, which are reported to be unanimous, is also stated to bo ready for printing. It will be published on June 24. The Secretary for India, Captain Wedgewood Benn, will be asked in Parliament tomorrow to arrange for the publication of the reports at a price that will not bar their wide circulation. RAID ON SALT WORKS A message from Delhi says a large number of Indian National Congress volunteers who had been waiting for some time to raid the salt depot at Dharasna, near Bombay, eluded the police guards at noon yesterday and rushed toward the salt pans. Nine of the volunteers were Injured in an ensuing scuffle. Several volunteers commanded by Mrs. Naidu were removed bodily by the police after having lain on the road for 28 hours. Following upon the bombing of certain villages on the Mahmand border by members of the Air Force and a round-up of agitators by troops and police the situation on the north-west frontier now Is reported to be improving. Revolutionary gangs known as "F.ed Shirts” are showing considerable activity in eutting barbed wire in front of British at night. Several Congress leaders were arrested at Koha Bannu and at Thai, where troops were called out to deal with a threatening mob.
