The Gov.ernor-General, Lord Bledisjop, and Lady Bledisloe attended Divine service at St. Matthew’s Church yesterday morning. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, left for Wellington last evening to attend the caucus of the United Party. On Saturday afternoon Mr. Stallworthy opened the new denial clinic at the Manurewa School. The Hon. C. J. Carrington, M.L.C., accompanied by Mrs. Carrington, left for Wellington last evening. Mr. Walter Jones, editor of the “Southland News,” Invercargill, wan a passenger to Frankton by the Limited this morning. The Hon. J. A. Hanan, M.L.C., was unanimously re-elected Pro-Chancellor d the New Zealand University Senate, nnd Professoi J. MacMillan Brown, who is at present travelling abroad, -was re-elected Chancellor.
