GOOD TWO-YEAR-OLD
rpi|HE two-year-old filly Bingen *- Crest, by winning again at Blenheim on Saturday, has put up a fine performance of three consecutive victories. The daughter of Worthy Bingen—Edna made her debut at Wanganui, where she ran third to two good improvers —Capilano and Lee Nelson. Another start at Wanganui and one at Hawera saw the two-year-old gaining racing experience. Off the front of a 2.24 mile at New Plymouth, Bingen Crest was right at home and won nicely. Placed on 2.59 in ten furlongs at Blenheim her owners had no option but to go across for the cheque, which was further augmented on Saturday. The filly was certainly leniently treated in her last start i after two decisive successes. Bin■gen Crest, who was dmen by the ! Epsom reinsman, J. S. Shaw, in her three victories, is unfortunately not engaged in the classics.
