LOAN FOR FLAXMILLERS

FOR STABILISATION FUND Press Association PALMERSTON N., Today. Advice has been received in Palmerston North from the Hon. G. W. Forbes. Minister of Lands, that in reply to requests from the Flaxmillers’ Association to provide a subsidy of £4,000 for the establishment of a stabilisation fund the Government is willing to lend the association money up to this sum to enable it to establish its own stabilisation fund. Such a loan will bear interest at five per cent, and will require to be secured by a joint and several guarantee by the millers who are the members of the association. It will be repayable over such a period as may be decided by the State Advances Board through which the loan will be arranged.
