ORPHANS’ CLUB OPENING Tho Birkenhead-ISTorthcote Orphans’ Club opened its seventh session on Saturday evening in the parish hall Norfhcote. Past-President Bro. Dr. W. J. Craven installed Bro. D. M. Lawson" the newly-elected president. He made eulogistic reference to his past services to the club as hon. secretary. Items were given by the club’s orchestra, under the baton of Mr. A. W. Messenger, and by Messrs. C. Farrow, J. Tattler, D. Flood, J, Smithson, and Sellars. Fraternal greetings were received from Hamilton, . Papakura, Rotorua and Pukekohe Clubs. ’ A party of five members from the Morrinsville Club received a warm welcome.
