HOWICK TOWN BOARD
Mr. J. Crawford presided over a meeting of the Howick Town Board, held on Thursday evening. A large number of tenders were received for the laying of the water mains in connection with the water scheme. The lowest, that of F. Dyson and Company, was accepted. A notification from the Auckland Hospital Board that the hospital levj 7 for 1930-31 would be £238 ISs lid, an increase of £4B, was received. The town clerk said no increase in the existing rate of id in the pound w: I anticipated, since the new valuations of last year would show a considerable increase.
