QUEENSLAND MINE MAY NOW CARRY ON WORK DEBENTURE ISSUE FAILS Reed. 10.45 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. The closing of the Mount Isa mines owing to the failure of the company to obtain-finance, as expected by the issue of debentures, has been prevented by the Queensland Government guaranteeing the bank overdraft of Mount Isa for a sum up to £500,000.
