QUEEN CARNIVAL
CATHOLICS ORGANISE SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION FOR SCHOOL FUNDS On Thursday evening the queen carnival of St. Patrick * parish, which is being held in aid of the school fund, was opened with a dance and bridge evening in the Manchester Unity Oddfellows’ Hall. The evening, which was in the interests of the independent queen, Aliss Kathleen Alolloy. was well attended. Excellent dance music was supplied by Air. Norman Ganley’s The committee responsible for the evening was:—Airs. C. H. Drysdale, Airs. J. Moynihan. Airs. J. Reilly, Airs. O. J. Alolloy, Airs. Little. Airs. Alyer. Airs. A. Grace, Airs. Kingsland and Aliss Smith. Among those present were: Miss K. Alolloy. who was wearing firej fly georgette; Miss L. McPhail. pink ; georgette: Aliss AT. AToynihan, cameo pink taffeta; Mrs. K. A. Snedden, orange embossed georgette: Aliss AI. Handing, poppv red satin beaute: Aliss B. O'Brien, pink floral georgette: Aliss Kona Kelly, moonmist blue taffeta embroidered with rosebuds; Aliss Lulu Dry.-dale, pale maize satin with gold beaded shawl; Miss K. Bradanovich. mist blue chiffon: Aliss K. Brady, unrelieved black georgette: Aliss L. Maher, marigold georgette; Aliss B. Little, peach floral taffeta: Miss F. Johanassen, lemon georgette; Miss O’Connor, frock of black taffeta: Mrs. Kingsland, pale blue georgette; Aliss M. Haekett. mist-pink taffeta and tulle; Miss Af. Wathew. peach pink satin; Mrs. Gilbert, black georgette frock: Aliss N.
