Soccer’s Welcome

THE Soccer code is not to be outdone in its hospitality tc, the stranger who may visit the shores of New Zealand, even though he may play a rival code of football. As the Rangitata approached New Zealand on Tuesday last Mr. F. Campbell, president of the New Zealand Football Association, sent the following cable to Mr. James Baxter and his British Rugby players:—“Association footballers give you hearty welcome and wish you pleasant and happy tour. Kia ora.”
