Hancock and Company, owners of the Imperial Hotel, adjoining the site, for approximately .£50,000. The purchasers intend to make extensive alterations, with a view to building a large modern hotel, embracing the whole of the land from Queen Street to Fort Lane. The property purchased is freehold, with a depth of 61 feet and a frontage of 07 feet on Fort Street. The sale has been organised and t ompleted by Mr. H. G. Palethorpe, of Palethorpe and Parkes, estate agents, Queen Street.
