GRASS FIRES
The Mount Eden Fire Brigade received a call to a small grass fire which occurred on the slopes of Mount Eden, just below the reservoir, facing Newmarket, shortly after noon yesterday. The flames were quickly subdued. A grass fire, which broke out in Truro F*.oad, Sandringham, yesterday, was attended by the Mount Albert Brigade, which extinguished the flames before any damage could be 4sne to surround* Ins property*
