WOMEN TEACHERS CONFER

EQUAL STATUS WITH MEN Press Association WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The New Zealand Women Teachers’ Association continued its annual conference this evening. Remits were passed urging that women be put on the same footing as men in all appointments. The following officers were elected: President, Miss E. Andrews (Taranaki) ; vice-presidents, Miss F. G. Taylor (Auckland), Miss J. Park (Wellington; secretary, Miss E. B. Lea; treasurer, Miss M. I*. Hardley; committee, Misses Edmed (Dargaville), Edwards (Wellington), Sullivan (Dunedin), V. J. Curtis (Manawatu). Miss Andrews was nominated a delegate from the association to the Women’s Pan-Pacific Conference this year. ’
