SIR JOSEPH WARD “MUST GO” MR. HOLLAND’S OPINION From. Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. Asked whether, the Labour Party would vote with Reform on a noconfidence motion against the Government, Mr. H. E. Holland, Leader of the Labour Party, at a Frankton meeting last evening, said his party dealt with situations as they arose, and it had not discussed such a contingency. The question was, would Reform support Labour In a no-confidence motion? It would be foolish, he added, to put Mr. Coates back on the Treasury benches with his record of class legislation and general failure. Mr. Coates’s defeat at last election was overwhelming, and left no doubts about public opinion. Sir Joseph Ward had failed to keep his election pledges, and he must go. When he did, it would not be a question of Reform going hack, but of Labour going in.
