MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED
MACHINE OUT OF CONTROL From Our Oicn Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. Serious injuries to the head -were suffered by Mr. Ronald Scott, a carpenter, aged 22, the son of Mr. 'VV. vv. Scott, of Hamilton, in Tainui Street, Hamilton, this afternoon. He was trying out a motor-cycle and side-car and had with him in the side-car Mr. Frederick Pickup, a young motor mechanic. Mr. Scott was coasting down a ste< n grade "in Tainui Street when he lo“ control of the machine, which iumpi d a 3ft. bank and struck an electric light pole. The driver was thrown out and the left side of his skull was His condition this evening was r ~ garded as critical. His companion escaped injury. The machine was only slightly damaged.
