£7OO LORRY FOR 10/WOULD SELL CEMETERY, TOO Surprise was expressed by the members of the Manurewa Town Board la.st evening, when the town clerk reported that an offer had been received to purchase the old truck formerly used by the Town Board, or the remnants of it, for 10s. In answer to Mr. Osborne, the clerk said that the truck originally cost £7OO. Mr. Fawcett: Yes, and another £7OO while we had it. Mr. Osborne recommended that the cemetery be sold at the same price. On the recommendation of the chairman it was decided to accept the offer. The name of the purchaser was not disclosed.
