MOTOR REGULATIONS

OVERHAUL PRACTICALLY COMPLETED Special to TUB St/.V WELLINGTON, Today. Overhaul of the Motor Vehicle Regulations has now been practically completed by the Transport Department and shortly the legal drafts will be released by the Law Drafting Office where they are at the present time. The regulations will then be printed circulated to local bodies, motorists organisations, and others interested, and probably another conference will be held at a later date. The revision now being made is the outcome of the conference called by the Minister of Transport (Hon. W. A. Veitch) two months ago, at which there were present representatives of many organisations, all possessing practical knowledge of the working of the regulations. In the course of his speech to the conference, the Minister stated that while the regulations were fundamental!}- sound, the maximum amount of liberty consistent with safety should be allowed.
