SMALL BOY’S PLIGHT STANLEY BAY ACCIDENT While fishing oft’ the end of the Stanley Bay Wharf with his brother y’esterday’ afternoon. Jack Cruickshank, aged six, of Wellington, slipped suddenly and fell into the water. His plight was seen, by Miss Edna Thorpe, of 205 Ponsonby Road, who was passing on a yacht. She dived overboard immediately, fully ■ clothed, and brought the boy to safety, little worse for his immersion. The boy is on holiday in Auckland with his parents.
