DAME CHRISTINA MASSEY

VICE-REGAL PRESENTATION Part of the insignia of a Dame Grand Court of the British Empire, a gold collar and chain, was presented to Dame Christina Massey, widow of the late Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, last Tuesday. The star and badge, which are also insignia of the order, were presented some time ago. His Excellency, who was accompanied by Lady Bledisloe, called at Dame Christina’s home at Mangere and made the presentation, saying that he was doing so on behalf of his Majesty the King.
