WEDDING TRIP ARREST
BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN BRIDE ALLEGES BIGAMY JOCKEY CITED AT GENEVA An English jockey, whose name is given as George Davies, has been cited in Geneva in a divorce suit by a beautiful Italian girl, Signorlna Antoinette Lomazzi. She also alleges bigamy. The pair were married at Geneva on November 28, 1929, and Davies was arrested in Paris, while on his wedding trip, for an alleged swindling deal in London. Before filing her suit for divorce. Signorina Lomazzi is stated to have restored to a firm of Geneva jewellers 20,000 francs’ (£800) worth of jewellery which Davies is said to have purchased on credit. In her suit Signorina Lomazzi alleged that Davies’s first wife is living in England. Said to Have Impersonated Beary An Englishman, name given as John Davies, was arrested in Paris on January 28. it was stated, at the request of the British authorities, who alleged bigamy and fraud. He is alleged to have impersonated the jockey Michael Beary,
