S. HODGE FOR HASTINGS The well-known trainer, S. Hodge who recently relinquished a position with Mr. T. Impey, lias decided to return to his former home in Hawke's Bay. He leaves for Hastings by Sunday’s express, and on arrival there will endeavour to establish a connection as a public trainer. A man well versed in his business, and with wide experience, it should not be difficult for Hodge to secure one or two horses. During his association with Mr impey, Hodge turned out several winners, including Envoy, Aggressive. Principal and Imperial Prince.
