SUICIDE BY SHOOTING
MAN’S DEATH IN ORCHARD Special to THE SVS TTJAKAU, Friday. With a severe wound in his head, John Alexander Cruickshank, 53, was found dead in his orchard at Tuakau, with a shotgun beside him. An inquest was held this afternoon by the district coroner, Mr. C. K. Lawrie. Evidence was given that trom the position of the body and the gun tt was evident that the wound had been self-inflicted. Cruickshank had been in poor health for some months past and had shown signs of depression. A verdict that death was due to a gunshot wound, self-inflicted, while temporarily depressed, was returned by the coroner.
