“DIGEST” POLL ON LIQUOR ISSUE IN AMERICA OVER 4,000,000 VOTES NEW YORK, Wednesday. The prohibition poll taken by the •Literary Digest” now stands as follows: — For enforcement of prohibition 1,284,559 For modification of the law 1.231.549 For repeal of the law .... 1.669.579 Total 4,150,017 The votes in North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas, and Arkansas showed a majority for enforcement. Only New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island showed a majority for the repeal of prohibition. _____ 1
