“ALL QUIET ON THE WATERFRONT” The annual extravaganza by the Auckland University students, 'which will be staged in His Majesty’s Theatre for a short season, beginning ' vill thls year be entitled All Quiet On the Waterfront.” As is usual with these student productions, it is full of topical allusions, although two scenes w..l be laid in China. The authors of this work are Mr J. .Nigel Wilson and Dr. J. Andrews! Mr. J. A. S. Coppard will be the producer. Mr. Trevor Sparling, musical director, while Mile. Valeska will be in charge of the ballet work. Important roles in the production will be taken by Misses J. Hankin and J. McCormick, Messrs. A. H Fryer Raisher, Trevor Hay, C. Lawrie Don -c. Smith, Aubin, Grey, McLean and E. Brodie. VICTORIA, DEVONPORT "Fancy Baggage” is the title of the new talkie to be presented at the Victoria Theatre, Devonport, this evening It is an hilarious comedy, full of amusing situations and clever dialogue. The second big attraction is "The Wagon Master,” a stirring tale of the early days of the American West, starring Ken Maynard. This, also, is a talkie. AMBASSADORS, PT. CHEVALIER “The Fleet’s In,” which will be shown this evening at the popular Point Chevalier Theatre, the Ambassadors, is an uproarious tale of love and rivalry among the sailors at an American naval base. Clara Bow is her bright self as a dance-hall hostess. Bright supports will complete the programme.
