MEN’S LOSING FIGHT
WAGES DROPPING IN COAL INDUSTRY IN N.S.W. DISPUTE PARTIES CONFER SYDNEY, Wednesday. With dramatic suddenness the coalmine owners and the miners’ officials today decided to meet tomorrow to discuss proposals for a settlement of the deadlock in the industry. It is understood that the miners’ leaders now regard the acceptance of reduced wages as inevitable. It is regarded as practically certain that an agreement will be reached this time.
