“SHE BETRAYED ME!”
MANGLES WIFE’S BODY AND CUTS OWN THROAT FRENCHMAN’S VILE DEED Reed. 9.5 a.m. PARIS, Tuesday. As Madame Albize, aged 20 years, had not been seen for some days, her mother went to her flat and was horrified to find her mangled body concealed in a cupboard. The legs were severed and separately wrapped up. There was no sign of a struggle or of blood. The body of Madame Albize’s husband was later discovered in Acheres Woods with his throat cut. A letter to his parents-in-law stated: “My wife betrayed me. I cannot bear it. I will kill her and commit suicide.”
