TRAVELS AT OVER 40 M.P.H.—This destroyer, Acheron, which is seen taking the water at Southampton, is expected by naval critics to break all records for warship speeds on her trial runs. Capable of discharging the heaviest torpedo salvo of any destroyer in the world, the Acheron is the last of the eight destroyers authorised under the British Navy Estimates for 1927-28.
