COW INSPECTS FURNITURE

QUIET STROLL THROUGH SHOP From Our Own Correspondent TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. A QUIET dairy cow paid a visit to Clark and McMillan’s furniture shop in Alexandra Street, Te Awamutu, on Saturday. The animal strolled sedately down the full length of the shop, carefully avoiding contact with cabinets of glassware, rare china, etc. The staff soon became busy removing furniture and carpets to allow the cow to go out by the back door. She retired by this route to the street, greatly to the relief of the head of the firm and the staff.
