THOUSANDS GET WORK
MARRIED MEN HAVE £3 FOR 44-HOUR WEEK SCHEME STARTS IN N.S.W. Reed. 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The unemployed relief scheme has been put into operation. Eleven hundred men have started work, and this number will be increased by 3,000 during the week. All work will be of a developmental character, and the men will receive £2 10s for a week of 44 hours, with 10s in addition if they are married.
