Sir Francis Bell returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. B. Semple. M.P., arrived in Auckland by the Limited express, today. Admiral M. R. O’Callaghan, of England, who is touring New Zealand, is at Hotel Cargen. Mr. J. W. Mawson, Director of Town Planning, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. I>. Ardell, of the Department of Internal Affairs, was a passenger to Auckland by the Limited today. Mr. K. Tennant, of Wellington, and Mr. J. S. Whitford, of Christchurch, are guests at Hotel Stonehurst. The lion. G. W. Forbes, Minister of Lands and Agriculture, who is visiting the North, spent today at Kaihu, Waipoua Forest and Rawene, where he received deputations. The Rev. T. E. Riddle, of the Punjab Mission Station, India, is on a visit to Auckland on furlough. He is accompanied by Mrs. Riddle and family. Mr. L. H. Kent, a principal of a ljirge English, engineering firm, who is making a tour of New Zealand, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. He is accompanied by Mrs. Kent. Mr. P. R. M. Hanna, who has since dune, 1928, been manager of the Dunedin branch of the National Bank of New Zealand, has received notice of his transfer to the head office in Wellington. Canon Fynes-Clinton retires at the end of this month after 16 years’ service at All Saints’ Church, Gladstone, Invercargill, and a total of 03 years’ ministry.
