MARORO MYSTERY
FISCHER CHARGED TOMORROW WIFE AND FAMILY ARRIVE Eugene Hugh Fischer. who was arrested on the Maui Pomare when the vessel arrived at Dunedin from Apia on April 22, will appear at the Police Court at Auckland tomorrow. In Dunedin he was charged with stealing the auxiliary cutter Maroro at Auckland on November 18, and remanded to appear at Auckland. He was brought up to Auckland under police escort by train last week and lodged in Mount Eden gaol. Fischer’s wife and family, and his stepson, A. B. Walker, arrived in Auckland by the Maui Pomare this morning.
