OHAKUNE WEDDING

TWO MAIDS IN GOLD TISSUE AND CHIFFON ATTEND BRIDE IN IVORY ROADLEY—CLEMETT

On Monday afternoon at St. John’s Anglican Church, the marriage took jnace of Victoria, only daughter of Air. and Airs. C. E. Clemett, of Ohakune, to Leslie Askey Roadley, second son of ‘lie late Mr. Cecil Roadley and Airs. Lennard, of Te Aroha. The vicar, the Rev. L. A. Barnes, officiated, and the service was fully choral. The church was beautifully decorated with white chrysanthemums, asters and birch, and a large white wedding bell hung over the couple. Miss Jacka presided at the organ, and played the "Wedding March” as the bridal party left the church. The bride wore a charming frock of cream chenille georgette, ankle length, gracefully dipping at the back, with tight fitting sleeves. The veil of white net was edged with brussel lace and beautifully embroidered with silver tissue and pearls', and was caught at e-ich side with a dainty spray of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and maidenhair fern. Miss Marjorie Binning and Miss Enid Clemett were bridesmaids. They were dressed alike in beautiful gowns of gold tissue and georgette, with a large red spray on the shoulders. Their hats of beige felt were relieved with red ornaments. Each carried a pretty bouquet of red flowers. The two little flower-girls, Ngaire Cosford and Beryl Sargeant, were dressed in long elizabethian frocks of apple green crepe de chine and gold lace, with medici collars and lace bonnets to match. Each carried a pretty posy of autumn tints. The brother of the bride, Mr. J. Clemett carried out the duties of best man, and Mr. Leslie Taylor, of Auckland, was groomsman. After the ceremony the wedding breakfast was held in the Kozy ITall, where Mrs. C. E. Clemett, mother of the bride, assisted by Mrs. Lennard, received the guests wearing a frock of dahlia moire velvet, relieved with touches of beige georgette and a beige felt hat to match. She carried a bouquet to tone. Mrs. Lennard wore a biaek silk coat over a coral pink crepe o.e chine frock, with a hat to tone. 1-ler bouquet was in shades to match.
