AN EASTER BRIDE

PRETTY OPOTIKI WEDDING KAY—BURKE A pretty wedding during Easter was that of Miss Margaret Wilson Burke, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W, E. Burke, of Richard Street, Opotiki, and Mr. William Kay, second son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Kay, of Auckland. The wedding took place in St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Opotiki. The officiating minister was the Rev. D. Hircl, M.A. The bride wore a very dainty frock of ivory satin with pale pink applique and the usual veil, and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of chrysantliemums and asparagus fern. Mr. T. Burke, her brother, gave the bride away. Miss Beatrice Burke, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. Her dress was of ro_ae pink georgette over crepe de chine, with tulle and silver cap and a bouquet to match. Mr. Percy Kay, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. Miss Colleen Burke, niece of the bride, was Ho\n cr girl and was dressed in powderblue crepe de chine, with tulle and silver cap and a pretty posy to tone. Mrs. W. E. Burke wore black lace over gold tissue, with bouquet to tone. Miss E. Fleming presided at the organ, and Mr. T. Burke sang a solo. A large number of guests assembled for the reception, which was held in the Farmers’ Social Room, after which Mr. and Mrs. Kay left for Auckland via Rotorua.
