AUCKLAND JOURNALISTS
ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL MEETING
RECORD MEMBERSHIP A record membership of 113 was disclosed by the annual report of the Auckland Journalists’ Association, presented to a general meeting held on Saturday evening. The president, Mr. L. M. Aitken, was in the chair. The report, after reviewing the business of the year, referred to the regret felt at the resignation of the secretary, Mr.. M. E. Ward, after ten years’ excellent service, and meeting instructed the incoming executive to make some special recognition of his work. The following office-bearers were elected:—President, Mr. L. M. Aitken: vice-president, Mr. A. F, Grace; committee, Messrs. G. la. Stanbrook, J. M. McKenzie, G. F. Inglis, R. A. Kenner, L. J. Cronin, E. Axford, Beattie, K. Taylor, E. Franklin; auditors, Messrs. T. Clarkson and R. W. Corson. A satisfactory cash balance was reported.
