WARSHIPS RETURN

THREE MONTHS’ CRUISE OVER The sloops Veronica and Laburnum are expected to arrive in port ington, after a cruise of nearly three at 7 o'clock this evening from Wellmonths in Southern waters. The vessels left Wellington on Saturday evening and are to carry out gunnery practice in the Hauraki Gulf this afternoon. Thev will berth at Sheerlegs Wharf.

H.M.S. Dunedin has recently completed a thorough overhaul since her l eturn from Samoa, and it is expected that the Veronica and Laburnum will also refit before their next cruise.
