his make-up in the early sequences is said to be a work of art, one that might excite the envy of a Lon Chaney or a Paul Muni. In the end he is transformed into his own handsome self by means of plastic surgery. Not since he made screen history as the ■‘Cisco Kid” in “In Old Arizona” has he been so perfectly cast.

Miss Owen, acclaimed the most beautiful blonde of the screen and who recently supported John Gilbert in “His Glorious Night.” is a recruit from the New York stage, where she appeared in many outstanding successes, including “The Whole Town’s Talking,” “The Silent House” and “The Love Set.”

“Such Men Are Dangerous” was directed by Kenneth Hawks. The nesv programme at the Civic will include enjoyable supports and new musical items. Ted Henkel’s Orchestra wil lplay “Die Schone Galatea,” and Fred Scholl will play “The Blarney Stone” and one of his popular humorous items.
