EMPIRE GAMES
CHICAGO Thursday. Fifty-five British Empire athletes ftom Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Ireland, are to come to Chicago on August 27 after the Games at Hamilton. They will meet a United States team to be picked from the National Amateur Athletic Union’s members. A Sydney message says W. M. Whyte, a Melbourne runner, has been selected for the British Empire Games in place of J. Carlton, who cannot make the trip.
