Van Ryn defeated Mangin, I—6, 6 —2, 6 —3, tv —2; Lott defeated Mercur, 6—o. 6—4, 6—2; Hunter defeated Bell by default the latter collapsing when within a point of the match. In the semi-finals Allison defeated Lott, 4 —6, 6 —S. 6—3. t>—4. 7—f>: Van R,yn defeated Hunter, 6—2. 4—6, 6 —2, 2—6, 6—4.
