After playing football and fighting cows to keep fit for the bullfighting season, bull-fighters are returning to Madrid to get ready for the great national fiesta. Most of the toreros first paid a visit to their tailors for a new suit of resplendent bull-fighting clothes. AH of them are ambitious to break records. • Marcial Laland, crack bull-fighter of last year, who appeared 83 times • n the ring, and killed nearly 200 bulls, hopes to kill even more this year, and so establish a record. Lalanda kept fit playing football in Madrid with a team of bullfighters. Another of the great toreros of 1929, Antonio Marquez, made a triumphant tour of Mexico, and is returning to the Madrid rings with a fortune.
