BIRKENHEAD WEDDING
ATTENDANT MAID WEARS LIME GEORGETTE LAING—BROOKES On Monday, at All Saints’ Church, Birkenhead, the marriage was celebrated of Ethel, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Brookes, of Birkenhead, and Gordon F. Laing, eldest son of Mr. and* Mrs. F. P. Laing, Tuakau. The Rev. R. C. Davis officiated, and Mrs. Davis presided at the organ. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a dainty frock of ivory georgette and lace. Her beautifui hand-embroidered veil was caught with orange blossoms, and fell to form a train, and she carried a shower bouquet. * Miss M. E. Brookes, sister of the bride, attended, and wore a pretty frock of lime georgette, with a pastel felt hat to tone, and she carried a bouquet of bronze flowers. After the ceremony a reception was
held at the Foresters’ Hall. Birkenhead. where Mrs. Brookes received the guests wearing a frock of black georgette under a black satin beaute coat. She wore a felt hat to tone. Mrs. Laing was frocked in navy blue crepe de chine, with a hat to match.
