A GLORIOUS MEMORY
ANZAC DAY MESSAGE FROM THE KING TOMORROW’S CEREMONIES On this day devoted to the glorious memory of those who felt at Gallipoli the Queen and I are proud to join in sympathy with my people in Australia and New Zealand.—GEOßGE R.l. This is the message which his Majesty the King has commanded the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, to communicate to the people of New Zealand on the occasion of Anzac Day tomorrow. Citizens of Auckland will have the opportunity to take part in numerous services aud ceremonies, the principal of which will be the one at the Cenotaph, outside the War Memorial Museum, at 3 o’clock. It will take the form of a great naval and military parade, in which returned men will take a foremost part. Chief events of the day are:—ll a.m , citizens' service in the Town Hall; 1.30 p.m., secondary school boys’ and girls’ service In the Town Hall; 3 p.m , Anzac Day parade, service and laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph; 3 p.m , service at soldiers’ cemetery, Waikumete. The Town Hall will be open at 10.15 a.m. for the admission of next-of-kin. for whom seats in the gallery will be reserved until 10.45. when the public will be admitted. The ground floor will be reserved for returned soldiers and their wives, and for veterans. The concert chamber, where a loud-speakt - will be installed, will be available to accommodate those who are unable t > gain admission to the main hall, and the service will also be broadcast ou - slde the Town Hall.
