MINISTER’S INDUCTION

ST. PETER’S APPOINTMENT This evening the Rev. E. H. Kedgley will he inducted to the charge of St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church, made vacant by the appointment of the Rev. T. Kalliday last year as supervisor of the Presbyterian Social Service Association. The Rev. E. R. Harries will preside and will induct the minister, the Rev. Ivo E. Bertram will preach, the Rev. F. B. Barton will address the minister, and the Rev. S. E. Hill the congregation. Mr. Kedgley has been *n the full work of the ministry for only 18 years, formerly being in business. During that time, however, lie served as a Sunday school worker and as a lay preacher. His first appointments were in tho home mission field. He proved himself a capable organiser and a wise and inspiring spiritual leader at his last parish, Otorohanga, which had 12 preaching stations in an area of about 16 square miles.
