TWO BIG TALKIES The enjoyable double-feature talkie programme to be presented at the Roxy Theatre from today is headed bv the fine production, “Senor Ameri cano,” starring the popular outdoor actor. Ken Maynard. The singing by Maynard of Spanisli love melodies to the accompaniment o' his guitar is a feature of the film. The photography is of a high standard many interesting scenes of life in the lawless regions of Mexico being shown. “Wise Girls.’’ an adaptation of the stage play. "Kempy." is the second attraction. The popular Roland Younr and Elliott Nugent have the leading roles in this production. The shorter talkie films are no less enjoyable. A comprehensive survey of topical events of world-wide interest is made in a talking Universal News. There is also an exceptionally clever two-red all-talking comedy. The programme should enjoy a successful season.
