BRIGADES’ DEMONSTRATION COMPLETION OF EVENTS From Our Oxen Correspondent TAIHAPK. Monday. The United District Fire Brigades’ demonstration, which opened at Taihapo on Saturday, was brought to a successful conclusion today. Competition was keen, and some good performances were recorded. The weather was unsettled, but nevertheless there was a satisfactory attendance. The Taumarunui Boys’ Band was engaged for the occasion, and as an additional attraction, a whole bullock was roasted at the demonstration in the proper Maori style.
