The Australian Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was continued today, when there was. an attendance of 62,000 at Randwick. The New Zealand gelding Cimabue gave promise of future success by a splendid finishing effort in the La Ferouse Handicap. lie was unfavourably placed in the early stages, but came with a burst of speed to finish in time to gain third place. The lightly-weighted Uwillian G. won the Sydney Cup from end to end. In point of quality the field which contested the cup is considered the poorest for many years. From an even start Gwillian G. was the first to show out from Caramelo, Royal Money and Inducement. Passing the stand Gwillian G. led the field by three lengths. Royal bmile, Leaulight and-Rionscup following. At the mile post Gwilliap G. was still racing ahead freely, followed by Royal R i°rfscup, Charlie B. and Crucis.
