Wairarapa Fixture Has Good Send-Off

The president and club officials wore crepe arm bands as a tribute to the late Sir George Clifford. Just before the start of the fourth race the death occurred suddenly of Mr. Charles Elgar, the well-known sportsman. While sitting at lunch he collapsed and expired immediately.
