ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Opotiki branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held on Wednesday. The election of officers resulted: President, Air. G. S. Aloody; vicepresident, Air. A. Alartin; secretarytreasurer. Air. T. IT. Pearson; auditor, Air. J. T. Alerry; committee, Alessrs. J. Dunlop, J. R. Jurd, R. Looney, At. Stevenson. A. F. Summers, W. Bradshaw, H. R. Hogg, A. Forbes. A. Malcolm. J. Stansbury, G. F. Joblin, J. H. King; delegates to sub-provincial meetings, Alessrs. A. Alartin and H. R. Hogg. It was decided to point out to the Railway Department the dirty condition of the carriages on the TaneatuaAuckland line, and also to write to the Alinister of Railways asking for information in connection with the proposed construction of the railway to Opotiki.
