METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD The second annual meeting of the Metropolitan Gun Club was held on Tuesday evening. The report and balance sheet showed that the club affairs were in a very satisfactory state. The members’ roll numbered 56 financial members. During the year 24 club shoots wer held and 3G trophies were competed for. Three open shoots were also held, including the Auckland Provincial Clay Bird Championship, which was ivo;i by Mr. Charles Seddon, of Hamilton. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £99 9s Sd, while liabilities were nil. The club expressed its since rest thanks to the women, the Press, and all members and supporters who donated trophies. The election of officers resulted: President, Dr. T. 11. Pettit; vice-presi-dents, Mr. Z. C. Whitney, Mr. R. H. Bentley; handicapper, Mr. H. E. Knight; referee. Mr. A. Hanigan: secretary, Mr. L. J. Stent: treasurer, Mr. F. J. Hazard: committee. Messrs. N:. H. Tisdall, F. C. McGeehan, L. F. Ramsey. D. Hyauiason. P. N. Galiie, E. L. Wilson, F. Kay-Stratton, W. C. Whitney. J. Murrell. Eleven trophies were offered for competition for the ensuing year.
